The Unbalancing of Humanity

When we look at the chakra system it starts with the root charka and it runs through the crown chakra. If one is out of balance it will typically cause the one above and the one below to also become out of sync. Looking at the system as a whole, we can see how the earth's core energy system is spinning out of control. There are wars causing generational trauma that will be stored on cellular level for a timeframe we don’t yet know. We are populating and polluting the planet to a degree we can no longer mitigate. I could go on and on. Here in Arkansas the maternal mortality rate is significantly higher than the national average and for black women it’s staggering. Kids are being shot in schools, people can’t afford medical treatment. We are in the Bell Jar. If you believe in quantum physics you know that the thoughts you put into the field become your reality. We are putting so much negative energy to the field that it is wreaking havoc in every corner of the globe.

The chakra system represents the energy field that runs through every living organism's body. It starts at the base of the spine and moves upward through the pelvis, abdomen, heart, throat, the space between the eyebrows and the crown of the head. Each of these centers are associated with a color and operate different functions in the body.

Root/Muladharan (red)- represents stability, life force, safety grounding and comfort.  When it is unbalanced there is confusion, lack of trust, addiction, concerns for safety, greed, lack of identity, and an inability to make life's decisions.

Sacral/Svadhishthana (orange)- represents the pleasure center, emotions, energy, creativity, connection to others on an emotional level, and joy. An unbalanced sacral chakra leads to being emotionally guarded or overly emotional, difficulty with intimate relationships, feelings of betrayal, anxiety and fatigue,

Solar Plexus/ Manipura (yellow)- represents self-esteem, power, strength, determination, ego, confidence and feeling in control of our lives. When it is unbalanced there is fear, feelings of loss of control, excessive judgment of oneself and others, insecurity, and feeling small.

Heart/Anahata (green)- represents love, kindness, compassion, sincerity, acceptance, and empathy. Out of balance there is a lack of empathy and compassion towards yourself and others, feelings of rejection, jealousy, bitterness, and anger.

Throat/Vishuddha (blue)- represents expression, clear communication, authenticity, truth, and maturity. Out of balance causes fear of speaking personal truth, feeling unheard, difficulty expressing thoughts, fear of judgment, social anxiety, lying, aggressive communication, and gossiping.

Third Eye/Ajna (indigo)- represents intuition, self-awareness, imagination, focus, clarity, and a connection to self. Out of balance causes close-mindedness, indecision, inability to relate to others, paranoia, obsessive thinking or over-analyzing, being disconnected from reality, and insomnia.

Crown/Sahasara (purple)- represents knowledge, consciousness, self-realization, spirituality, and fulfillment. Out of balance causes depression, feelings of isolation, excessive skepticism, being detached from reality, neglecting physical needs, dissociation and escapism.

This is not an exhaustive list by any means. With each chakra comes physical side-effects in the body as well as the mental ones. But, I think the short list above describes an objective reality; we see it each time we turn on the tv or talk to our anxious, angry, or fearful family and friends. When we drive in traffic and witness or participate in road rage, we see it in the comment section of any social media post, we see a lack of empathy and compassion during every legislative session, in states around the nation. This unbalance has infiltrated our news outlets ability to remain unbiased as greed slithered in and bought access to the free press.

The world is out of alignment and as a collective we are unbalanced. Everyone of us affects the physical and emotional wellbeing of our planet  and our fellow humans. The problems of the world seem unfathomable, I personally find myself disillusioned and move between rage, anxiety, and dissociation. I have to actively practice balancing my energy and each of my chakras and it’s difficult and I have been trained to do it. I would say anyone who claims to be completely blissed out is actually delusional. I’m afraid we are in for some rough times in America, that is a hard fact. Look for a community, build one if you have to, you need human interaction and human touch to make it through this. And when we do make it out of this, the world as a whole needs deep, deep nurturing to continue to be habitable for generations to come, and we as humans need that same nurturing to bring our humanity back so we can save ourselves one chakra at a time.
