Changes on the Horizon: Reiki I Class Enrollment for September 27 & 28, 2025

ree

Several clients have asked me if I am going to teach Reiki classes, and the answer is yes! I have been deciding which technique I want to teach. There are many types of Reiki. The most traditional is Usui Reiki Ryoho. In the US and Western world, Usui Shiki Ryoho, Usui/Tibetan Reiki Ryoho, Holy Fire Reiki, and Karuna Reiki are the most widely practiced forms.

I’ve been formally trained in Usui Reiki, Usui/Tibetan Reiki, and Holy Fire Reiki. I have completed in-person and online training, including sessions with Zoom, as well as online pre-recorded certifications. I completed my Usui/Tibetan Reiki I and II certifications in two consecutive days. Additionally, I completed a Usui Reiki Ryoho I level in a single weekend in 2017. I then waited years to complete Reiki II and go on to become a Master/Teacher. I received my Holy Fire Master/Teacher training from a licensed teacher at the International Center for Reiki Training over four consecutive nights, from 4 pm to 10 pm, which was a bit too much. My instructor, Pam Allen-Leblanc, Co-creator of Animal Reiki Training, author of The Reiki Business Book, and host of the podcast Reiki From the Farm, lives in Canada and wanted to accommodate trans-Atlantic time zone availability. It was fully interactive on Zoom each night, and the time did fly by, although it made for long days. I have also completed a master's training on self-paced courses.

As a Gemini rising, I consume knowledge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, growing up dyslexic and adhd, I have always second-guessed myself, fretting over whether I know enough to be an authority on anything. I have impeded my growth; I don’t put my ideas into motion because I never feel quite ready. There’s always one more book, one more class, or one more degree, until I wait so long that the time has passed, or someone else has beaten me to it. It’s time for a change, for all you astro peeps, Uranus is moving into my first house tomorrow, and I’m stepping out and stepping up!

After exploring various methods for receiving Reiki training, I’ve decided that in-person training, with each level divided into separate weekends, is my preferred approach to learning and ultimately teaching. Traditionally, this was the way Reiki was taught. My first experience with Reiki was attending a Reiki I training, in person, over one weekend, and it was truly magical.

Being in the room with other students, raising the energy while we each received our attunements was unlike anything I had ever experienced. For years, that's all I felt I needed to train in, as I wasn’t going to do it professionally. I will utilize knowledge from all my different lineages to ensure you are as knowledgeable about Reiki as possible. I am choosing to teach Usui Reiki Ryoho officially. That lineage resonated with me the most, and it is what I practice in my studio. My first Reiki I class will be held on September 27th and 28th. After that, there will be a traditional waiting period, ranging from 21 days to a month, for students to work with the energy on themselves and get accustomed to it before progressing to Reiki II. After Reiki II, you must wait 6 months and have given Reiki to a specific number of people before training at the Master/Teacher level. I'm thrilled to begin this journey!

The link to enroll will be on the website, and space is limited!
